Not sure what's wrong or what it'll cost?

Start with a fixed-fee assessment. You get a written answer, a fix list and a budget range. If you go ahead with the build within 90 days, the fee comes off the build.

Who it is for

Who is an assessment for?

If this is you

The line runs, but rejects good product

False rejects, missed defects, or operators who have stopped trusting the camera.

If this is you

Nobody can open the old program

The integrator is gone. Nobody knows which software, which license, or which laptop has the last copy.

If this is you

You have a project but no number

You need a budget before capex, or you need to know if a camera can even see the fault on your parts.

What you get

Four assessments. Each ends in a written report.

Every report is vendor-neutral: it names the fix that fits your line, whoever makes the parts. It gives recommendations and is designed to support your validation, not to replace it. Not included: safety and risk assessments, arc-flash studies and repairs.

You get
A report with a ranked fix list: lighting, trigger, encoder tracking and PLC timing.

One application.
Where
With sample parts you send us.
You get
Test images, a written yes or no, a concept and a budget quote.

Line or legacy assessment

Scope

How it works

How does an assessment with JM Automated Solutions work?

01–03

The same start as every JM job

Tell us about the system, a 20-minute call, then a written, fixed quote within 2 business days. See how every JM project starts.

04

Assessment invoice, then the visit

You pay the assessment. We do the work on site or on the bench and send a written report.

05

Build quote with the fee credited

If you go ahead with the build, the assessment fee comes off the build quote.

The assessment is the first step for every build. Have ready: access to the machine, any program files or backups you have, sample parts, and reject data if you keep it. The feasibility study runs on sample parts you send us; the other assessments need time on site. The full fee comes off the build quote if you sign the build within 90 days of the report.

FAQ

Questions plant managers ask

QWhat will it cost?

Assessments start at $1,950 for a quick assessment and from $4,500 for a feasibility study, and you get a written, fixed quote before any work starts. The assessment ends with a budget range for the fix, and the fee comes off the build if you go ahead within 90 days. For what drives the price of a full station, read How much does a label inspection system cost?.

QHow much downtime will the install take?

We plan the work around your shutdown windows, and the build quote states the build time and the days we need on your line. Where the hardware you have still does the job, we keep it and add new tools, tuned recipes or cleaner reject logic. A new station first runs with the reject turned off, so your team can review its decisions before it rejects anything.

QWill vision work on my line?

Send us sample parts, including the bad ones you need to catch, and we test them. The feasibility study gives you test images and a written yes or no, with a concept and a budget quote. If a camera can't see the fault on your parts, you find out before you buy a station.

QWhy not just hire someone in-house?

If you have enough stations to keep a full-time vision engineer busy, hire one. If you don't, a hire means a long search and a ramp-up before that person knows your line, and the salary keeps running between projects. We work project by project at a fixed fee, and we train your operators, technicians and QA on the stations you run, so your team owns them after we leave.

Tell us the problem. We will scope the assessment.
